Worship Arts & Music at Salina First
Through our Worship Arts & Music ministries at Salina First United Methodist Church, we seek to proclaim, celebrate, and extend God's love in Christ. In fellowship with one another, we lift up songs of hope, love, freedom, redemption, reconciliation, and praise unto God in our times of worship. We have several opportunities for children, youth, and adults to engage in our Music & Arts ministries at Salina First:
Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir sings Sunday mornings during our 8:25 service. Weekly rehearsals take place Wednesday evenings at 6:00 in the Choir Room. Music selected includes traditional music, with an emphasis on contemporary arrangements and compositions, as well as an annual Christmas Cantata. People of all ages are encouraged to join our positive, fun-loving group as we prepare for meaningful worship service. For more information, contact Dennis Toews at rdt2@cox.net, or express your interest in singing with us by filling out the form below.
Children’s Choir
During the school year, Children’s Choir meets from 9:40–10AM each Sunday morning followed by Sunday school. Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade meet in Room 300 to sing joyful songs of praise to our Lord. Each month we prepare a song to sing in worship. During the Christmas season our children lead worship with a Christmas musical. All children are welcome to join us and share the gift of music. To sign up or to learn more, parents please email Stacy Jagodzinske at stacyjag@yahoo.com, or simply fill out the form below.
Praise & Worship Team
Our Praise & Worship team leads music for our 11:00 service on Sunday mornings. The team consists of vocalists and a variety of instrumentalists who serve on a rotating basis. If you sing or play an instrument and would like to join the Praise & Worship Team, please fill out the form below to express your interest. Scott@salinafirst.com
