Looking ahead in worship series
Welcome to worship at First Church!
I rejoiced when they said unto me,
"Let us go into the house of the Lord."
Psalm 122:1 We believe you will also rejoice as you worship with us at First Church. Our Sunday morning worship time is truly the heart and soul of our Church. During worship we join our voices in praise, read and learn from God's Word, pray for one another, and depart feeling both uplifted and challenged. First Church is pleased to offer two unique and dynamic worship services. Both worship services contain a morning message by Pastor Troy Bowers. Pastor Troy is very intentional in planning worship which is Biblical, relevant and inspiring. Our Traditional Worship is at 8:25 a.m. During our traditional worship we will sing the good old hymns of our faith. We will be led in our worship by our pipe organ and our adult choir. Special music is often provided by our bell choirs. This worship service is a structured worship with more responsive readings and corporate prayers.   
Our Contemporary Worship is at 11:00 a.m. During our contemporary worship we sing more of the current praise and worship songs. We are led in worship by our praise band, Kingdom’s Call: which consists of drums, guitars, keyboards, and vocalists. This worship is more relaxed and less formal.   Also during our 11:00 a.m. worship we offer children’s worship for those who are between 3 years of age and second grade. The younger children attend The Lamb Worship, the older children attend The Wee Worship. Both activities help children worship and learn in age appropriate settings.   A clean and professionally staffed nursery is available during every worship service .
New Worship Series: God's Lesson Plans For Life
  New Worship Series begins, August 22nd
Every fall when our public schools resume, schoolteachers will take the first few days to go back and review the basics. The teachers will review the fundamentals from the previous year so they can build on them for the school year ahead.
With this in mind, this fall we are setting aside a few Sundays to review some of the basic teachings of our Christian faith. We will review some of the foundational beliefs and practices of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. This new worship series titled, “God’s Lesson Plans for Life”, will begin on August 22nd and last six weeks. See you at School oops, Church!
CD’s and DVD’s Available Our Sunday morning worship services are recorded. CD’s and DVD’s are available upon request. You may order online by clicking here. For Your Assistance - Hearing Aids: Hearing Aids are available from the ushers each Sunday at our 8:25 and 11:00 services. Simply ask an usher for one - you can sit anywhere in the sanctuary to use them.
- Large Print Bulletins and Hymnals: Available at the 8:25 and 11:00 services - simply see an usher for a copy.
- Children’s Busy Bags: Bags filled with activities in which children can express themselves during worship.
Radio and Cable Television Broadcast Our Worship service is broadcast on 1150 AM - KSAL Radio at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday Morning. Access Television broadcasts our worship (one week delay) at the current times. Traditional Worship on Sundays at 5:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and Mondays at 5:30 a.m. Contemporary on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m.
