Prayer Ministries
"Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - I Thessalonians 5:16-18

There are many ways you can be involved in First Church's Prayer Ministries: join the Wednesday Prayer Group or become a part of the Online Email Prayer Group. Take the time each week to pray for the concerns listed in the bulletin.
Wednesday Prayer Group
This prayer group gathers each Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 in the Chapel for a time of prayer. We share a time of praise, confession, and thanksgiving to God for His love and faithfulness to His people. This group also prays in intercession for the church’s ministries and leaders, our Sunday worship services, and other local, national, and international concerns. Prayers are also offered for persons known to us through prayer requests.
You are welcome to join this Wednesday Prayer Group and become a part of this special prayer ministry at FUMC. To join, simply come to the chapel on Wednesday at the appointed time. The Director of Congregational Ministries may be contacted should there be questions about this ministry.
Email Prayer Group
Some persons participate in the prayer ministry of the church through prayer in their homes and at their convenience. Persons in the Email Prayer Group receive via the internet a weekly list of persons and church ministries for which to pray.
To become a part of this vital email prayer ministry at FUMC contact the Director of Congregational Ministries. All members of this group must have access to the internet and have an email account.
