VEGGIETALES GALORE

OLD TO NEW

Many parents have requested that DVD’s of the older VeggieTales be purchased due to families replacing their video players with DVD machines.  Because of the generosity of an anonymous donor, we have been able to acquire DVD’s of all our VeggieTales which were recorded on VHS.

Those selections are:  MADAME BLUEBERRY, ESTHER, THE GIRL WHO BECAME QUEEN, JONAH A VEGGIETALES MOVIE, WHERE’S GOD WHEN I’M S-SCARED?, THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF AUTO-TAINMENT, THE ULTIMATE SILLY SONG COUNTDOWN, ARE YOU MY NEIGHBOR?, LYLE THE KINDLY VIKING, DAVE AND THE GIANT PICKLE, KING GEORGE AND THE DUCKY, THE BALLAD OF LITTLE JOE, GOD WANTS ME TO FORGIVE THEM!?!, JOSH AND THE BIG WALL!, RACK, SHACK & BENNY and the VeggieTales Holiday Double Feature which includes THE TOY THAT SAVED CHRISTMAS and THE STAR OF CHRISTMAS A CD, A VERY VEGGIE CHRISTMAS, featuring traditional and VeggieTales Christmas carols with most of the VeggieTales characters was included with the Christmas DVD

NEW, NEW, NEW

The same anonymous donor’s gift also enabled us to purchase the following Veggietales which we did not have before:

THE PIRATES WHO DON’T DO ANYTHING SING-ALONG SONGS AND MORE- DVD which includes scenes from the movie, The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything, plus wonderful, catchy songs

The UMW Circle #8 donated the following new Veggietales items:

LESSONS FROM THE SOCK DRAWER-a collection of Veggie Shorts and Briefs on DVD

SONGS FROM THE SOCK DRAWER-a CD of fun tunes from the DVD of the same name

TOMATO SAWYER & HUCKELBERRY LARRY’S BIG RIVER RESCUE-a lesson in helping others

So come check out all those old VeggieTales favorites now on DVD and the new adventures which will soon become favorites too.  See you soon!

Church members can also visit the Center and self-check their materials during the week by obtaining a key from the office.

About Media Center: The Center houses over 2000 items in addition to the UMW reading books and Sunday school resources. Among the items available for check-out are: Christian magazines such as Response, New World Outlook and large print Guideposts; books covering Christian psychology, Christian life, prayer, devotionals, world religions, Methodism, auto-biographies and biographies, fiction, children’s literature, teen literature, large print materials, reference materials, DVD player, CD player, CD’s and videos and DVD’s for study and enjoyment of both children and adults.

A card catalog having cards listing items by title, author and subject is available to help patrons with their search for items. Most items in the Center may be checked out for a one month period.

Materials are purchased through the Media Center budget. Families and individuals may donate items or have the Media Center staff purchase items for them in honor of loved ones birthday’s and anniversaries or in memory of deceased loved ones. Congregation members who would like to join our team are always welcome.

Angie Holston (Tel: 827-3929), First Church Librarian, will be glad to answer any questions  about the Center and is looking forward to helping all find materials they want to read or view.
